The GNA Platform
Press the politicians to support:
- A repeal of NAFTA and GATT, so that Fair Trade, environmental sustainability, and a living wage for all become the foundation of our trade policies.
- Federal legislation, such as the Employee Free Choice Act, guaranteeing that when the majority of workers in a sizeable workplace sign union cards, the employer would be required to enter into a collective bargaining process with the workers.
- An increase in the Federal Minimum Wage to $8.50 an hour, in line with the minimum wage in Canada and Europe.
