Delaware Promotes Sustainable Energy

Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner has signed SB 18, sponsored by Sen. Harris McDowell, which will create a Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU) to “coordinate and promote the sustainable use of energy in Delaware.� The SEU will make energy efficient technology more affordable for consumers and businesses and serve as the point of contact for sustainable energy services in the state. Its projects will include assisting residents with the purchase of energy efficient appliances, setting performance targets for green buildings and clean vehicles, and coordination with regional and national energy efforts.
