In our last update, we brought you the news of the Organic Consumers Association and its 850,000 members lending their muscle to the growing petition campaign. Today we want to share with you a few of the plans that Fair Food activists across the country have developed in their communities to spread the word and collect signatures:

* In the Twin Cities, "We are making t-shirts to hand out to local groups to sign. We stenciled Exploitation King on the front and wrote the last clause of the petition on the back of some of them, and we'll ask organizations to decorate and do their own thing with the rest of them."

* At the University of Notre Dame, "We want to make life-size silhouette's of farmworkers and stand them up on the sides of the walkway between DeBartolo and LaFortune. They will have facts about the poor living conditions, the atrocious wages, and other facts... The other thing we were going to do is take pictures of all the people who signed the petition and make them into a large mosaic that would be a larger picture of workers in the fields."

* In Philadelphia, the Prometheus Radio Project (long-time CIW ally and inspiration for the CIW's own low-power radio station, Radio Conciencia) are collecting signatures on strips of paper that will be placed in a piñata to be whacked on April 28th outside BK headquarters in Miami at the grand petition delivery action!

You can be part of this growing campaign.
